Point of Focus: We should use the Scriptures to pray because the Scriptures can give us the right words and tones for the ups and downs of life.

Point of Focus: Today, spend time as a family being thankful for the gospel of grace in your life and in the lives of those at DPF.

Point of Focus: Today, spend time praying for some of our governing officials according to the worship guide (This week we are praying for our Attorney General: Jason S. Miyares)

Scripture: 2 for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. (1 Tim 2:2)
Point of Focus: Remember that the gospel changes people and thus it changes culture. When people in governing positions confess Christ as Lord this will result in human flourishing for the citizens (peaceful and quiet lives).

Point of Focus: When we pray according to the Scripture, we pray in a way that honors God. Our passage is specifically concerned with the reality that we should pray for all different types of people.

Point of Focus: There will not be a people group in the new heavens and the new earth that is not represented. The gospel reaches every people group.
